It's no secret that good beer and good food can work together in perfect harmony. When it comes to Spanish food, it makes sense that a Spanish beer is well-suited to drink alongside it. That's why we're thrilled to be hosting a series of dinners with Estrella Galicia, Spain's largest independent brewery.
Originally founded in 1906 in the small city of A Coruña in northwest Spain, it remains a family-owned operation and still brews all its beer in the city thanks to the quality of the local water, so it tastes just as good as it always has. Throughout the year we'll be putting together a series of one-off dinners across the UK showcasing the incredible regional food of Spain with a roster of top-quality chefs. Kicking things off in London, we'll then be heading to Brighton, Cardiff, Glasgow and Liverpool, plus another location yet to be announced.

Our fourth Estrella Galicia dinner took us up north to the beautiful city of Newcastle, where Spanish food importer and restaurant Kaltur put on a Galician feast. Take a look at our feature for details of the night, or take a look at the restaurant's recipe for an iconic Galician dessert.
Our third Estrella Galicia event took place at Pilgrim, a very special restaurant in Liverpool which takes inspiration from the pilgrimage routes of Europe. The one-off dinner paired Estrella Galicia's beers with dishes from throughout Spain, beginning in Asturias and ending in Galicia. Take a look at how the night unfolded, or have a go at recreating chef Dave Bone's stunningly simple lamb rump recipe, which was served on the night.
Our second event with Estrella Galicia was at Bar 44, a tapas restaurant in the seaside town of Penarth, near Cardiff. The five-course menu showcased some of the tastiest Galician dishes, combined with the very best of British produce. Take a look at what was served and try your hand at Damian Jones' stunning octopus recipe.
Chef Yago Crego is a born-and-bred Galician who has been manning the kitchen at Tapas Brindisa Battersea since it opened in 2018. Taking the traditional authentic dishes of his home region, he adds modern twists to bring them into the fine-dining sphere. Take a look at what he served up for this incredible event.
