Find out everything you need to know about series fifteen of The Great British Bake Off, from the start date to the judging line-up.
There are few dates in the TV cookery show calendar more hotly anticipated than the start of a new series of The Great British Bake Off. We may have already been treated to fourteen series of the beloved baking competition but that doesn't mean that as summer starts to draw to a close every year, we're not counting down the days until a new group of bakers step into the famous white tent! And this year is no different, with a brand-new series set to hit our screens in the next few months.
Whilst things are unlikely to deviate too far from Bake Off's tried-and-tested formula, the producers always have a few changes up their sleeves. That's why we've gathered together all the information we have on series fifteen, so you know what to expect and when to organise your viewing parties for!
We will be updating this page as more information is released about the new series, so make sure to keep checking back for the latest news.
Series fifteen of The Great British Bake Off kicked off on Tuesday 24th September at 8pm.
The Great British Bake Off will air on Channel 4 for ten weeks. You'll also be able to watch episodes on catch up once they've aired.
After a year of change last series, with Alison Hammond replacing Matt Lucas as a presenter on the show, things are set to remain the same in 2024. Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will return as judges, whilst the now very familiar Noel Fielding will complete the line-up alongside Alison.
The themes change slightly year-on-year for The Great British Bake Off, but there are a fair few which remain the same year on year. These include: cake week, bread week, biscuit week, dessert week, pastry week and patisserie week. Chocolate week has also been a fixture in more recent series. One thing you won't be seeing in series fifteen is weeks themed around specific cuisines, as these were axed for series fourteen.
The Great British Bake Off series fourteen was won by schoolteacher Matty Edgell, who beat Dan Hunter and Josh Smalley in the final.
The show is filmed in the grounds of the Welford Park Estate in Berkshire, where it returned last series after filming elsewhere during the pandemic.
This year, we've asked former Bake Off contestant Howard Middleton to recap what took place in each episode of series 15. Check back here every Wednesday for Howard's latest recap.
