Here we go – the BBC have finally confirmed the theme and contestants on the latest series of Great British Menu. We're feeling quite smug here at Great British Chefs as many of our predictions for this year's theme turned out to be correct. Yes, the Queen has another birthday banquet to look forward to, Michael O'Hare will be returning as a guests judge and plenty of the chefs competing are head chefs who have trained under winners from the earlier series (think Marcus Wareing and Jason Atherton). Things bode well for the rest of our predictions at this rate – fingers crossed for a Duke of Edinburgh carved out of venison served up at the final banquet!
