Horse's neck

Horse's neck is the name given to a classic cocktail usually made up of brandy – in this case Cognac – and ginger ale. At Adam Gray's Skylon restaurant it is served with angostura bitters and a lemon twist, providing a dynamic cocktail to suit all occasions.

Horse's neck

  • 50ml of Hennessy cognac, Fine
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • ginger ale
  • ice cubes

Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • Bar spoon or swizzle stick

Method

Fill a tall glass to the top with ice. Add the bitters, cognac and ginger ale and gently stir with a spoon. Add the lemon twist and serve
