This simple yet delicious pigs in blankets recipe makes the perfect porky accompaniment to your Christmas dinner or roast dinner. Make sure you use streaky bacon, not back bacon, as this will ensure the blankets stay snugly on the pigs during cooking.

Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6

Wrap each sausage in a rasher of bacon and place on a baking tray

Roast in the oven for approximately 20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and the chipolatas have cooked through. Serve immediately
